Who is Tyroo?
Tyroo (A Yahoo! funded company) is APAC’s leading Digital Ad Network offering strong Rich Media, Video and Display marketing driven performance products. Tyroo is an important marketing reach vehicle for Businesses looking to create stronger brand engagements and drive performance. They have helped large global brands like Microsoft, Nokia, HP, Groupon, Google, Vodafone among many drive value from Internet as marketing channel.
Tyroo Media was funded by Yahoo and Smile Interactive Technologies Group. The existing logo used all three brand names Tyroo, Yahoo and SITG. Going forward Tyroo wanted to create a separate entity for itself under the name Tyroo without banking on Yahoo’s brand equity. Also Tyroo is a four year old company but has started gaining traction in the market now. It has some past credibility issues which are no more therefore we want a very fresh look. Plus they now had two divisions of Tyroo. They wanted the new identity to have an international feel and spell “trust”
I explored dozens (if not hundreds) of ideas on the sketchpad. I then presented several different concepts to the client.
What the client and myself eventually went with was a typographic solution that captured the idea of a face looking at a screen.
We then agreed the type was strong enough on it’s own without the color panel/screen. So we took that out and did some subtle refinements and chose a bold blue and ended with this:
