German Graphic Design Book Publisher’s Site Temporarily Hacked by Islamic Religious Group
Last night at about 11:30 PM Mountain Time I went to www.zeixs.com – the portal for interactive books for designers – founded by the publishing house Feierabend Unique Books and the design agency 12ender. Zeixs prints books about the fusion of online and printed media.
And to my surprise this is what was up on the site:

The hackers also had the page linked to play this music in the background:

I was a little creeped out after seeing this page.
Zeixs.com was able to recover the site shortly after it happened and you can see their normal site from this link. But it really made me wonder how far a group like the jihad or any other zealous religious group could go if they knew enough about hacking the Internet and what kind of damage they could do. And also, what kind of extra steps can we take to avoid a hack like this to one of our websites?
