Came across this post while looking for posts about Yellowstone. Awesome looking logo IMO – with a bit of imagination, I could almost see the shape of Yellowstone (minus the lakes) – but probably just my imagination.

Right, I had never thought of the tall tales logo and this logo at the same time. I wonder which one came first?

This seems like a poorly done knock-off of a logo Duffy&Partners did for a restaurant called Tall Tales:
